DJ SABI experiments across a range of emerging genres and sounds with roots in Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, and beyond. He has collaborated with renown artists in reggaeton and latin rave music across the world from La Goony Chonga, Aleroj, 2AT, Choupetik, Kwistiaan, Orfigyal, and M8NSE, to MALO2K and many more. He holds a B.A. in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) from Dartmouth College. DJ SABI has also toured across the world with Hyperperreo, including shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Boston, Dallas, Washington D.C. and the top clubs in Miami. Puerto Rican and from South Florida—a mecca of latin communities and electronic music—, he blends perreo, latin tech, trance, hyperpop, and techno in fresh interpretations of reggaeton, dembow, and baile funk staples. He is the founder of the rave series and Miami Community Radio show “Hyperperreo”.

Nic Rodríguez Villafañe (he/they) is a Boricua DJ, sound designer, and scholar whose work moves across the frequencies of ritual, memory, and embodied resistance. Blending academic inquiry with cultural practice, Nic’s research explores Black Caribbean literary and sonic performances, with a focus on how sound, storytelling, and movement function as archives of Afro diasporic knowledge and healing. As a DJ and sound designer, Nic brings these insights into practice, curating sonic experiences that center collective memory, spiritual healing, and the politics of pleasure. Their sound work has accompanied theater productions, films, and community rituals, weaving together diasporic beats with archival echoes.

Isabella “Risa” Ramirez de Arellano (she/her) is a Disabled Boricua activist and researcher focusing her work through an anti-imperial queer disability justice lens. Through her lived experience and formal education in Psychology (B.A.), Disability Studies, Public Health, and Media Studies & Production (M.A.), Isabella founded her own collective, named Expert Of Me – where self-expertise meets collective liberation. She expands this work by becoming an organizing member of the Diaspora Pa’lante Collective, a Puerto Rican diaspora and allies organization for a liberated Borikén. Isabella also serves as a Global Disability Advisor for Billion Strong, a global disability organization emphasizing our lived experiences in an international context. Most recently, she has joined 7 Billion Presidents as part of their Activist Council. Throughout every project, Isabella Ramirez de Arellano centers “being the expert of me” with theory and analysis to create an actionable future made for the people, by the people.

Curet (she/her) is a Bronx-born dance artist, academic, educator, and birth doula whose work centers the embodied knowledge of the Puerto Rican diaspora. Rooted in practices of migration, memory, and collective care, her practice-led research-based, transdisciplinary choreography blends contemporary dance, the elements of bomba, social practice, and healing modalities—often in collaboration with Afro-Caribbean and migrant communities across the Americas. Currently a PhD candidate at the University of Plymouth, Curet’s work spans performance, pedagogy, and fieldwork across South America, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and Europe. Her choreographic commissions and community projects have been supported by the Jerome Foundation, CUNY Dance Initiative, and the Bronx Council on the Arts, among others. Integrating somatics, storytelling, and ancestral practice, Curet’s work foregrounds diasporic futurity, resilience, and movement as a form of liberation. Inaru Nadia is a Puerto Rican activist, educator, and co-founder of ‘La Sombrila Cuir’ ”I dream for a world where LGBTTIQAP+ people (along with other intersections such as, but not limited to, race and disability) are able to live in peace and health. In order to do that, it is necessary to create safer spaces, develop new tools for justice, create economic pathways and collaborations and expand our networks as gender non-conforming folk. I’m committed to fighting for justice, equity and a different system.

Katelina ‘Gata’ Eccleston is the pioneering Bilingual Reggaeton Historian and Executive Producer behind Reggaeton Con La Gata on iHeart and the Perreo 101 multimedia project. Since 2017, her work has helped democratize access to the true history of Reggaeton through her bilingual podcast, lecture tour, and multimedia programming. An American of Panamanian-Jamaican descent, La Gata was raised in Boston, MA to a large family. “Storytelling Reggaeton is much more to me than simply hopping on a trend, as a descendent of Panamanian-Jamaicans, Reggaeton is my heritage.”
